Very Very Cheap Flights
Airlines offering cheap flights
It is amazing how many great deals are available from even the largest airlines. Buying a cheap flight directy from the Airline’s own website seems to be getting more popular. Many major airlines now guarantee that they will have the best deals on their own websites.

British
Airways
British Airways is one of the world's big players in air transport with a great service reputation (except for the few weeks when they moved to Terminal 5 of Heathrow - oops that wasn't good!). They are not generally known as a supplier of very very cheap flights but they are just like everyone else and sometimes decide or are forced to sell amazingly low cost air travel tickets, so it is worth checking them out.
Lufthansa
German planes are never delayed! Never! Here's a tip. Don't fly overnight as you end up eating a German airplane breakfast. Never a good start to the day! However, if you want to fly cheaply to Germany, check out their last minute deals. Particularly good for Berlin and the old East German cities.
Ryanair
Budget carrier Ryanair have become huge in a short space of time using agressive marketing based on ultra-low flight costs. It must be recognised that they have attracted a lot of criticism, with commentators question the true cost, once additional extras are added. Ryanair for example now force customers to check in online (at a cost of £5) because they no longer offer check-in at the airport. Despite this, Ryanair are one of the great sources of very very cheap flights.
EVA Air
The cost of their business class tickets for long haul destinations such as Bangkok from Europe (direct) is usually significantly cheaper than carriers such as British Airways and Thai Air. Most of the middle eastern airlines are also cheap, but you have stop-overs which add significantly to total flight times. For these reasons Eva provide a great alternative for air travel options to the Far East.
The Secrets the Big Airlines Don’t Want You to Know
United States Flight Delays: USA Aviation rules state that if an airline can't get you to your destination on time, it is required to put you on a competitor’s flight if it would get you there faster than your original airline’s next flight.
According to The Perrin Post by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine, "You’ll find cheaper fares and greater seat availability if you fly on a Saturday and return on a Tuesday, instead of going from Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday."
To find cheap fares buy your tickets from a consolidator.
Become a YUPPie. Virtually all airlines have a code (Yupp, Qupp or 'Z') for a type of fare described as either a coach seat with an automatic upgrade or deeply discounted first class. You can ask for one of these and get first class tickets at standard prices. perfect for a honeymoon on a budget or for the seasoned long haul traveller.
